The NGV has opened it new Design Studio at the Ian Potter with an impressive exhibition of the work of the graphic designer Les Mason. Senior curator of design, Ewan McEoin has created a significant exhibition which offers a comprehensive coverage, not only of Mason’s impressive body of work that ranges from his experimental Surrealist/Pop inspired Epicurean magazine designs, to commercial packaging icons like the SOLO can, television and print advertising and social awareness campaigns for the Salvation Army, but also the breath and scope of professional Graphic Design throughout the 1960s-1980s.
